POP3 Downloader: Collect External Mailboxes into Your Server

A POP3 downloader pulls ISP and hosted mailboxes into Exchange or any SMTP server. How it differs from a mail client, and when Hexamail POP3 Downloader is the right collector.

A downloader is not an email app

Outlook fetching POP for one person is not a POP3 downloader. The server-side job is: authenticate to many external mailboxes, pull on a schedule or via IMAP IDLE, then SMTP-deliver into Exchange, Hexamail Server, or an archive. IT does not sit in Gmail.

The Gmail-as-hub problem is the Gmail POP3 alternative hub. This page is the generic collector.

What to require

POP and IMAP (folders, IDLE), SSL, OAuth2 for Google and Microsoft 365, per-account schedules, catch-all split by headers, delete/leave/expire on source, optional AV, user self-service for passwords.

Hexamail POP3 Downloader

Built for that list: simultaneous downloads, one-minute polls, IMAP with Gmail labels, Exchange every vintage plus any SMTP server, web UI for end users. Pair with Vault if the destination should be an archive rather than a live inbox.
